Founded in 1928 the Bureau International pour la Standardisation des Fibres Artificielles (BISFA) is an international association of man-made fibre producers.

The head office of the association is 40, rue Belliard – 1040 Brussels, Belgium.

BISFA establishes the terminology of man-made fibres to improve continually company, customer and consumer communication. BISFA provides technical rules for man-made fibres and yarns and terms of delivery which have to be met.
