Highlights were:

• A long term work program was adopted.
• The Terminology booklet has been reviewed and extended. This booklet is available on the BISFA website.
  The revised Acrylic Staple fibres booklet has been printed, and good progress is made with the revision of the p-aramid and the elastolefin booklet.
• BISFA continues to support the application of new generic names. The application for melamine has been positively completed. The application for Propylamid Composite and Trimethylenester are still ongoing.
• The optimized procedure for the generic name application, with BISFA input, has been published on the website of DG Enterprise, and is being further discussed.
• The revised ISO 2076 Standard on textile names (convened through BISFA) has meanwhile been officially published.
• The 2008 accounts and the budget for 2010 have been approved.
